RED BULL HARDLINE 2024

one of the world's toughest downhill mountain bike races

The 2024 Red Bull Hardline event was held in Wales. This event provided BFGoodrich the opportunity to sponsor an intense and engaging event around outdoor activities which provides the perfect opportunity to place our brand in front of potential customers which are in the market for off road tyres so they can take part in extreme outdoor activities.

Through the event planning I communicated with the Red Bull Hardline marketing team on what marquee space we had, the riders board which we were gifted to run our lead generation and ensure that we stay within 5% of our budget. Advertisement costs, rider transportation, uniforms and POS/Advertisements were all costs which had to be considered when going through planning.

At the event my sole objective was to gather 1500 leads. The main way to gather leads were through our free giveaway of cowbells for attendees to cheer on the rider. This had a QR code stuck to if so attendees can be in for a chance to win the signed Red Bull Hardline riders board. Another way to gather leads was with the custom Michelin helmet which I had made the a pull up banner for so attendees can be in for a chance to win it.

On day two of the event once the cowbells had ran out I took it upon myself to approach people with a code of the QR and the signed rides board to explain how they could win the board. This proved to be very affective and helped me to reach above the target of 1500 leads.

The planning for Red Bull hardline started at the end of 2023. My responsibilities for this event was to manage the provided budget, organise the BFGoodrich stand, achieve 1500 email leads and communicate between red bull and the driving team for uniforms.

I conducted Bi weekly meetings with members of the marketing team to discuss our spendings, lead generation, track minutes and tasks which need to be completed before the next meeting.
